GBACOC’s “Zoom Room” Featuring Lindsay Nixon, Founder of Michigan COVID Consultants - "Business Post COVID - A Crash Course in Infection Prevention”
Description: Lindsay Nixon is an RN and small business owner. She has identified her unique perspective in both small business operations and COVID front-line infection control practices and takes that unique opportunity to help small businesses navigate and survive the pandemic. While many larger companies have dedicated staff to manage health concerns, smaller businesses may not have the same resources. With Michigan COVID Consultants, Lindsay hopes to bridge the gap between OSHA and CDC recommendations and real-life operations, allowing employers and customers to restart Michigan’s economy in a safe, effective and affordable manner.
Lindsay received her Registered Nurse license in 2011 and has been working as an RN in various roles and settings ranging from bedside nursing in nursing homes to becoming the clinical director for a hospice agency overseeing nurses, home health aides, social workers and other healthcare team members. Most recently Lindsay has been working in acute care setting of one of Michigan's largest hospitals. Her unit has been dedicated to caring for COVID positive patients since the virus was first reported in Michigan.
