LAHRA Luncheon Series: Generations in the Workplace
2018 LUNCHEON SERIES: GENERATIONS IN THE WORK PLACE
5th Generation
It is well known that there are multiple generations in the workforce. The span of workers today consist of representatives from the Silent Generation, the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and increasingly, the Millennial generation. The Millennial generation is slated to be the largest population cohort since the Baby Boomers, consisting of over 73 million. Millennials are reshaping the old employment relationship – the set of expectations held between employees and organizations – and they are driven by values and passion. However, despite their size and influence, the Millennials are facing pressures from a 5th generation quickly rising in the workplace – the AI generation. This talk explores the intersection of Millennials and Artificial Intelligence as they exert (sometimes competing) influence in today’s organizations. Strategic considerations for HR practitioners and talent development professionals are discussed
