David Imber Charity Dinner and Silent Auction to raise funds for Cancer medical bills
Local Iraq Veteran In Battle of His Life
Howell resident, Dave Imber has spent most of his adult years serving others. He is a both a proud veteran and Oakland County police officer.
Dave has been with the City of Lathrup Police Department since 2017, and serves in the Army Reserves as a Brigade Intelligence Officer for the 272nd. He was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma. This cancer has no cure. Due to surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy treatments, Dave has been unable to work. As you can imagine, the expenses the Imbers face are enormous.
Dave’s years of service started young. In 2005, at the age of 24, Dave joined the Army. He was part of the Michigan National Guard, 425th Unit out of Selfridge, MI as a Platoon Leader. He later went to the 125th Infantry, in 2008, and fought oversees in Iraq. In both 2009 and 2010, Dave was stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Dave went on to marry Julie in 2010. Together they have two daughters, Mia (4 years) and Brooke (14 years). Prior to the police force at Lathrup Village, he worked as a Corrections Officer for Livingston County.
Now it’s our turn: Let us help this man who has selflessly served his country and community.
