Business Morning Mixer at New Tech High-Pinckney.  New Tech High is a school within a school at Pinckney Community High School.  Guests will have an opportunity to see first-hand what Pinckney New Tech High and all of the programs at PCHS can offer to local businesses.  The agenda for the day:
8:00-8:30 a.m.  Introductions, Coffee & Conversations – Rick Todd, Superintendent, PCS, April Woods, Principal, PCHS, Dr. Jim Darga, Director of Secondary Curriculum and Cyber-Security, PCHS, Dianna Behl, Director, Pinckney New Tech High and Matt Jerome, Program Coordinator, Pinckney New Tech High
8:30-8:45           Overview of PNT and PCHS
8:45-9:05           PNT Internship Project Showcase
9:05-9:30           Pinckney New Tech Internship Showcase
9:30-9:45           Optional tours of PNT, PCHS and/or Career and Technical Education Programs
In order to expose students to real-world experience in potential career fields, PNT requires students to complete a 40-hours internship project before graduation.  The project is designed to allow students to explore and evaluate potential career fields so they can make informed decisions upon graduation.  Partnerships have included such companies as Lowry Computer Products, Huron River Watershed Council, Michigan Humanities Council and Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce.  Come and learn more about how an internship can be beneficial to your business!  Register online at brightoncoc.org.
