The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and 1st National Bank are pleased to present the 9th Annual Brighton’s Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival  September 5-6, 2014 in Downtown Brighton.  Join us for the tastiest of barbecue, the smoothest of jazz and, of course…the bluest of blues!
 
Award winning barbecue will once again line Main Street from Grand River to First Street, serving up the tastiest of ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, pork tenderloin, sweet treats and more. Food will be served on Main Street 5pm - Midnight on Friday and Noon – Midnight on Saturday.
 
Jazz and blues will be live at the music stage located on Mill Pond Lane (in the municipal parking lot behind Jack’s Custard) both Friday and Saturday, 5pm - 12:00 Midnight. Admission is just $5, and is FREE before 6:00pm! Ages 18 and under are also free with accompanying adult admission. Ages 21 and over after 9pm. Beer, wine, raspberry ale and hard lemonade are just $4 and $5.
 
A giant 24-foot outdoor screen will feature the U of M - Notre Dame football game on Saturday evening; kickoff is at 7:30pm.
People’s Express will be offering FREE shuttle service to and from the event. See below for details.
 
Live entertainment pulls from the best of the best of both locally and nationally known jazz and blues artists. More info below.

The festival brings jazz, blues and barbecue enthusiasts to Brighton from all across the region. We’re looking forward to another successful event, and for our downtown to once again be packed to the max!”
