Power Lunch: Economic Development in Michigan and Livingston County. This month’s Power Lunch will focus on the latest in economic development statewide and here in Livingston County. Jennifer Nelson, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, will provide an update on efforts to grow and retain business in Michigan. She will discuss Michigan’s efforts in strengthening our global automotive/mobility leadership, how we are accelerating manufacturing innovation, how we are growing Michigan exports and endeavors to attract national/international business. Phil Santer, Senior Vice President for Ann Arbor SPARK, will explore how those initiatives will impact Livingston County and how local companies can take advantage of those opportunities. They will discuss what the talent pool looks like for companies in Livingston County, how transportation is affecting access to talent and how our area is playing a part in the future of “mobility” in Michigan.
