Ambassador Program

Ambassadors are extensions of the Chamber Membership Director. Although they only meet one a month for Ambassador Meetings, the opportunities are plentiful to introduce yourself to new and existing members throughout the year, stand out as VIP’s at Chamber meetings and social events, and support the Chamber in servicing our members. AXIS – A Group For Future Leaders and Young Entrepreneurs

AXIS is a great opportunity to meet other young professionals and build relationships with the future leaders of our community. The group is an energetic, dynamic group of like-minded business professionals formed for Greater Brighton Chamber members between the ages of 21 and early 40's. Networking, professional development, community service and building personal relationships are all reasons to get involved with AXIS. E.GR Business District

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Charter Township of Brighton and Green Oak Charter Township have partnered with local businesses on East Grand River (from the City limits to Kensington Road.) This group meets monthly and hosts an Annual East Grand River Octoberfest Block Party, all in an effort to enhance the area. Plans have been formed to have banners designating the business district on East Grand River, as well as other enhancements including possible pathways. Businesses on East Grand River are encouraged to join this dynamic group by contacting Pamela McConeghy of the Brighton Chamber.

Livingston Regional Cooperation Group

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber has been working closely with the Charter Township of Brighton, the City of Brighton, Green Oak Charter Township, Hamburg Township, members of the Livingston County Boards of Commissioners and SEMCOG to develop ways to work more efficiently, save money ad improve cooperation between municipalities. Other initiatives, such as Wireless Livingston are also being handled through this progressive and diverse group, in efforts to positively affect Livingston County's Greater Brighton Area.

Livingston-Washtenaw Legislative League

The Livingston-Washtenaw Legislative League, as part of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, was established as a non-partisan group. The Livingston-Washtenaw Legislative League’s purpose is to help inform and update Chamber members and Livingston County of political issues and policies at both the state and national levels that directly affect all of us. The Livingston-Washtenaw Legislative League also attempts to keep Chamber members up to speed on pending legislation at the local and national levels and access to your representatives that can potentially affect small business and individual citizens. The Livingston-Washtenaw Legislative League, through quarterly email updates and guest speakers address hard-hitting issues. These events allow members to get answers to tough questions regarding our community and nation.

MITN - Michigan Technology Network (ConnecTech-Livingston – An Automation Alley Affiliation (formerly GLIMA-Livingston))

MITN is the new organization that takes the place of the former GLIMA Network. It is the premier organization for Michigan’s technology professionals, providing them with the resources, tools, and opportunities they need to succeed. Women’s Business Network Luncheon and the WBN’s Women in Business Day

The Women’s Business Network of the GBACOC creates an environment for women in business, presenting opportunities for personal and professional growth. This entity provides a dynamic forum for Greater Brighton Area Chamber members to network for increased business contacts; to learn about each other and discuss vital business issues that pertain to everyday business; and to educate members on career development. Informational meetings are held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month. The Women’s Business Network is about women supporting women and power through teamwork.
