In addition to the Chamber’s two major discount programs, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Accident Fund Workers Compensation Insurance, the Chamber also offers several more opportunities for discounts. Members can receive discounts with AAA of Michigan, DHL Airborne Express – Next Day Air Service, Tax Savings and Investment Programs (TASC), as well as discounts from Comcast Business.

The Chamber has a very successful Member-to-Member Discount Program. There are many members in the Chamber that offer discounts to other members of the Chamber. If you are interested in offering a special discount to other Chamber members, let the Chamber know at your earliest convenience and we will add your name and discount to the list. If you want to take advantage of the discount program, just show the merchant/restaurant/service agency your member-to-member discount card. Please note that these discounts are not only good for you, but for your entire staff. The member-to-member discount program is an excellent way to support Chamber members as well as the economy.

Accident Fund Workers Compensation Program Is a Valuable Member Benefit

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and Accident Fund Insurance Company of America are proud to offer members access to their Workers Compensation Insurance Group Program. Designed specifically to aid the small- to mid-sized business owner, all Chamber members are eligible for this program, subject to underwriting guidelines.

Group program benefits for members include:

• A 5% up-front discount on workers compensation insurance rates
• An opportunity for long-term dividends, based on the profitability of the group

In 2007, a 5% dividend was paid back to participating members, over $22,000 in total. Although future dividends can never be guaranteed, the program will be evaluated again in spring 2008 to determine if even more dividends are due.

Additional benefits to workers compensation policyholders include free online access to Accident Fund’s Loss Prevention Toolbox ™ and other no-cost workplace safety services.
